Abstract
This document specifies the service conditions; rated characteristics; general structural requirements; and — test methods of prefabricated traction substations for use in AC and DC electric traction systems, which as a minimum contain an enclosure and a traction switchgear designed and manufactured according to EN 50123-6 in DC electric traction systems; CLC/TS 50152-4 in AC electric traction systems. Traction substations using non-type tested traction switchgear are covered by EN IEC 61936-1:2021.
