Abstract
This part of IEC 61850 specifies the information model for devices and functions that generally relate to applications in power automation systems. It also includes the information model for devices and function-related applications in substations. In particular, it specifies the compatible logical node names and data object names for communication between intelligent electronic devices (IEDs). This also includes the relationship between logical nodes and data objects.
