Testing of lubricants - Tribological test in the translatory oscillation apparatus - Part 1: General working principles

Abstract

This document specifies a method for testing liquid and consistent lubricants with active ingredients P in accordance with DIN 51502, also known internationally as EP lubricants (EP = extreme pressure), under translational oscillating relative movements. This is achieved by comparative investigations of the influence of lubricants on the tribological system in the translational oscillation testing device.
