Building and civil engineering drawings - Part 1: General rules for representation

Abstract

This document specifies basic rules for the representation of structures in drawings for planning purposes. This includes the drawings for the design approval and construction of buildings. This document is applicable to the built environment. For the purposes of this document, this includes buildings and engineering structures with extensions, as well as structures in connection with outdoor facilities. This document is applicable to new buildings, extensions, conversions, modernizations and repairs. This document is applicable to construction drawings that are created by computer or by hand. With the initiated withdrawal of DIN EN ISO 7519, the resumption of DIN 1356-1 as a follow-up project is being considered.
