Abstract
The purpose of this part of IEC 1300 is to determine the effect on a fibre optic device of reduced air pressure, such as might be encountered at high altitudes. This procedure is conducted in accordance with IEC 68-2-13 introduced into the chamber at standard atmosphere and temperature within the chamber is then reduced to the specified value and duration, after which the air pressure will be returned to normal.
