Abstract
This standard specifies requirements for components in systems for the piped supply of gas and hydrogen to the general public (gas and hydrogen supply systems). This document is to be used in conjunction with DIN 30690-3. This standard does not apply to — gas installations within the scope of DVGW-TRGI 2018 "Technical Rules for Gas Installations" (DVGW Code of Practice G 600); — standard pressure equipment — compressor housings; — components in odorisation systems that are exclusively exposed to odorising agents; — components exposed to liquefied petroleum gas in the liquid phase. Standard pressure equipment falls under the Fourteenth Ordinance to the Product Safety Act (Pressure Equipment Ordinance – 14. ProdSV), which transposes EU Directive 2014/68/EU (Pressure Equipment Directive – PED) into German law. Components falling under EU Directive 2014/34/EU (Explosion Protection Directive – ATEX 1) are subject to the requirements of this Directive, which has been transposed into German law by the Eleventh Ordinance to the Product Safety Act (Explosion Protection Ordinance – 11. ProdSV). Fittings falling under EU Directive 2006/42/EC (Machinery Directive) are subject to the requirements of this Directive, which has been transposed into German law by the Ninth Ordinance to the Product Safety Act (Machinery Ordinance – 9. ProdSV).
