Abstract

The document defines physical quantities and other terms in the field of thermal insulation relating to heat transfer by radiation. It defines related to surfaces either receiving, transferring or emitting a thermal radiation, terms related to opaque or semi-transparent surfaces receiving a thermal radiation as well as terms related to a semi-transparent medium receiving a thermal radiation, combined conduction and radiation heat transfer.
