Abstract

This standard is applicable to shut-off valves, backflow preventers, aeration and venting valves and control valves for use in drinking water distribution systems within the meaning of DVGW W 400-1 (A) and according to the scope of DIN EN 1074-2 (shut-off valves), DIN EN 1074-3 (backflow preventers), DIN EN 1074-4 (aeration and venting valves) and DIN EN 1074-5 (control valves), provided that the valves with pressure-bearing housings are made of metallic materials.
