Abstract

This standard contains limits and measuring methods for the emission and immunity of the signaling and telecommunications (S&T-) apparatus and components. The requirements are valid for the frequency range 0 Hz to 400 GHz. Emission limits are specified by reference to generic emission standards. The immunity test procedures are specified on a port-by-port basis for the S&T-equipment and contain the immunity against electrostatic discharges, radiated radio-frequency fields, electrical fast transients (burst), surge voltages, conducted disturbances, induced by radio-frequency fields and power frequency and pulsed magnetic fields. The description of the test procedures shall be taken from the standards given at the relevant place in the standard. The performance criteria for the immunity test are specified by reference to EN 50121-1.
