Uncertainty in acoustics and vibration - Part 2: Uncertainty of vibration quantities

Abstract

This document specifies procedures for determining the uncertainty of measured, calculated or predicted vibration-related quantities (vibration characteristics, vibration parameters) which are used - for the assessment of hazards due to vibrations at the workplace, - for the assessment of vibrations in immission control, - for the assessment of machine vibrations. In the appendices, the application of the individual methods is shown in detail by way of example. This document also specifies how to consider the uncertainty in a comparison of obtained values with action or limit values. This document can be used in the determination of the uncertainty of vibration-related quantities in practice as well as in the development of standards in the various fields of application.
