Abstract
This standard is applicable in connection with VG 95345-2:2015-01 to arc fault detection devices with circuit breakers (AFDD-c.b’s) AC (in the following AFDD-c.b’s) with a rated voltage of AC 230 V (max. voltage AC 250 V) and for rated current 10 A or 16 A. AFDD-c.b’s are intended for the protection of cables against overload and short-circuit. The AFDD-unit is intended to mitigate the risk of fire in final circuits of a fixed installation due to the effect of arc fault currents that pose a risk of fire ignition under certain conditions if the arcing persists. They are suitable for mounting in distribution boards (e.g. accommodation containers). Requirements and regulations which are identical for all types of components are included in the basic standard VG 95345-2:2015-01.
