Railway vehicles - Driver cabs - Part 1: General requirements
Abstract
This document lays down the general requirements for the driver's workplace in rail vehicles, irrespective of their fields of application. It describes how to integrate the driver into his work area and how to design the work area around the driver. This document applies to all driver cabins or driving positions of railway vehicles subject to the EBO, ESBO, BOA, EBOA and/or BOStrab. This document does not apply to — vehicles within the scope of DIN EN 16186 series, — vehicles within the scope of DIN EN 14033 series, — auxiliary driver cabs and auxiliary driver's stands used exclusively for shunting purposes, — steam locomotives, road-rail machines and driverless remote-controlled shunting vehicles.
