Abstract
This document provides general guidelines for the design, material selection, suitability, certification and testing details for liquefied natural gas (LNG) hose assemblies for marine transfer. The transfer hose assemblies are designed as part of a transfer system (i.e. they may be equipped with ERS [emergency release system], QCDC [quick connect disconnect coupler], handling systems, hydraulic and electrical components and so on). To avoid unnecessary repetition, reference is made to EN ISO 16904 and EN 1474-3 for all comparable items, definitions and abbreviations. Where additional references, definitions and abbreviations are required for LNG hose assemblies, they are listed in this European Standard.
