Calculation of load capacity of shafts and axles - Supplement 1: Examples to part 1 to 3
Abstract
A large number of failures in mechanical engineering are due to damage to axles and shafts. The most frequent cause of this is fatigue fractures (fatigue fractures, vibration fractures). In addition to the optimal design, the calculation of safety against the occurrence of fatigue fractures and damage due to maximum load (permanent deformation, crack) is a necessary measure. This supplement contains application examples for Part 1 - Part 3 and serves exclusively to demonstrate the calculation procedure.
