Abstract
This document specifies the requirements for satisfactory validation of the structural design of running gear for railway vehicles, including frames, axle boxes and load transmitting equipment. This standard is limited to non-revolving mechanical components that are not rigidly attached to the carbody. Note: Wheelsets are excluded as they are revolving components.
