Quantification and evaluation of soil organic carbon sequestration and carbon emission changes from adaptive management in and on agricultural soils

Abstract

This document defines requirements and procedures for quantifying and assessing organic carbon buildup and greenhouse gas emission changes in agricultural soils resulting from a change in management practices. For this purpose, a multistage approach is to be developed. This document is aimed at companies, institutes and other stakeholders who do not have the resources to develop their own system for quantifying and assessing soil carbon buildup related to a changed land management practice.
