Nipple connections for pressure gauges and their accessories
Abstract
This document is applicable to nipple connections used to connect pressure gauges with threaded stud connections (G 1/4 B or G 1/2 B according to DIN EN 837-1, alternatively M20×1,5) to valves, measurement pipes or other accessories. It specifies dimensions, materials and designs (including screw threads) as well as marking.
Depending on the material of the corresponding pressure gauge, nipple connections in accordance with this document are useable at nominal pressure PN 250 (for brass) or PN 400 (for steel or stainless steel), where PN corresponds to the maximum allowable pressure PS in bar, and a maximum allowable temperature (TS) of 120 °C. This document does not specify sealing washers; for these DIN EN 837-1 applies.
