Compressed air - Energy efficiency - Assessment

Abstract

This Standard sets requirements for conducting and reporting the results of a compressed air system assessment that considers the entire system, from energy inputs to the work performed. This Standard considers compressed air systems as three functional subsystems: - supply (conversion to compressed air energy); - transmission (movement of compressed air from generation to usage); - demand (the total of all compressed air consumers). This Standard sets requirements for - data analysis, - documentation, - estimations of energy savings. This Standard identifies the roles and responsibilities of those involved in the assessment activity.
