Large stone for civil engineering works
Abstract
This Technical Specification specifies large stones for civil engineering work. The CEN mandate covers civil engineering work. But the current version of EN 13383-1 doesn't cover this application. Test methods for physical properties are partially available in EN 13383-2. Concerning geo-metrical requirements the current test methods of EN 13383-2 are not applicable and new methods must be established. The TS describes which test methods of EN 13383-2 are applicable for large stones. Guidance on the use of large stones is given in Annex A
