Abstract
The performance of the product as an air filter is defined by the geometry as well as the filter media characteristics. As such, there is a great need to understand the filtration characteristics of different Medias in a comparative manner to assist in selection, product development, and quality control. The aim of the standard is to develop a test method that can be used by media suppliers and filter producers to evaluate filtration efficiency, pressure drop, and a form of DHC for different static air filter medias not covered by ISO 29463-3 against a standard as a comparative tool providing clarity in media selection for application in a broad range of converted filters
