Air ambulances

To establish European Standards specifying requirements for dedicated air ambulances and related medical devices used in air ambulance services. The requirements are being developed in co-operation with the drafting of standards by WG 1. Requirements will be developed for the ambulance role of air with particular regard to the provision of uninterrupted patient treatment and care during transport in and transfer between different types of ambulances. NOTE: The work will provide performance requirements and will refer to European Standards for medical devices where applicable. Non-dedicated ambulances are not covered by the scope of the Working Group.
