Overview

This document applies to pressure tight joints are made on the threads on pipe fittings and plug screws with Form C stud ends in accordance with DIN 3852-2, with cylindrical internal threads and Form Z port connections in accordance with DIN 3852-2. Whitworth pipe threads for threaded pipes and fittings are described in DIN EN 10226-1. In order to achieve secure and pressure-tight connections, parts with pipe threads manufactured to the dimensions and tolerances specified in accordance with this document are mated with one another, provided that the appropriate interconnection technology is used. The interconnection technology to be used for threaded connections depends on a number of factors, including the quality of the threads to be mated, the materials of the parts to be mated, the sealing compound, the contact pressure between the threads, and the tightening torque.
