This document has been prepared at DIN Standards Committee Shipbuilding and Marine Technology (NSMT), Working Committee NA 132-01-05 AA "Heben, Schleppen, Ankern" ("Heaving, towing, anchoring") in collaboration with DIN Standards Committee Round Steel Link Chains (NRK), Working Committee NA 085-00-05 AA "Rundstahlketten, Einzelteile und Zubehör für die Schifffahrt" ("Round steel link chains, components and accessories for marine purposes"). This document is applicable to end shackles Grade K4 used as components of slip stoppers as specified in DIN 81856 mainly used on board vessels of the Deutsche Marine (German Navy).
