Overview

This Amendment 1 modifies the generic standard for electrical connectors and plug-and-socket devices. This generic standard specifies the general requirements and provisions. It contains information on unchanging technical requirements and test conditions, that is, properties and provisions that apply to the respective components as well as general procedures, matters of liability, patent law, etcetera. The detail standard specifies the specific technical requirements and tests applicable to the respective components. This Amendment contains technical and editorial revisions. This standard has been prepared by DIN Standards Committee Electrical Engineering (NE), Working Committee NA 140-00-14-01 UA "Steckverbinder und Steckvorrichtungen" ("Electrical connectors and plug-and-socket devices").
