Overview

This Amendment 1 is a modification of the generic standard for cable assemblies. This generic standard is applicable to electrical cable and LWL assemblies in combination with the respective detail standard in the following referred to as components. This generic standard specifies the general requirements and provisions. It contains information on unchanging technical requirements and test conditions, that is, properties and provisions that apply to the respective components as well as general procedures, matters of liability, patent law, etcetera. The detail standard specifies the specific technical requirements and tests applicable to the respective components. This Amendment contains technical and editorial revisions. This standard has been prepared by DIN Standards Committee Electrical Engineering (NE), Working Committee NA 140-00-04 AA "Konfektionierte elektrische Kabel und Leitungen" ("Assemblies of electrical cables and insulated wires").
