Overview
This document specifies the basics for the specification and the verification respectively, regarding lightning/surge protection of operational military systems. For mobile and transportable land systems, it shows possibilities for implementing lightning and surge protection. Furthermore, this document shows a method that can be used to determine potential lightning impact points and the associated peak values of the lightning surge current for watercraft with metallic hull.
