Overview
This document applies to staff protection systems (PNA) and specifies the minimum requirements for the design, function, and testing of the devices. PNAs are intended to immediately summon help via personal alarms during hazardous work performed alone. This document does not apply to alarm systems, hazard detection systems, and call systems in accordance with specific DIN standards. The standard differs from DIN VDE V 0825-1 (VDE V 0825-1):2019-09 as follows: a) power supply of a PNG-S (4.3.7); b) degree of protection (4.3.16.1); c) strength (4.3.16.3); d) update of bibliography. This document applies to the installation and use of PNAs in environments involving hazardous work performed alone, such as in industrial facilities or in security services.
