Overview

This document specifies requirements for the performance and evaluation of test procedures to determine the area coverage of ready-to-use for single-use disinfection wipes for use in the medical sector. This document applies to the determination of area coverage of ready-to-use disinfectant wipes from series production. In addition, dry wipes that have been moistened according to the manufacturer's precise specifications may also be tested. In this case the claim is valid exclusively for the specific combination tested. This document does not apply to all other types of ready-to-use wipes that are not intended for surface disinfection in the medical sector in accordance with DIN EN 16615, nor does it apply to ready-to-use, reusable cleaning textiles. This DIN SPEC has been developed according to the PAS procedure. The development of a DIN SPEC according to the PAS procedure is carried out in DIN SPEC-consortiums and does not require the participation of all stakeholders.
