Overview

This document applies to long rod insulators (suspension and tension insulators) made of composite materials according to DIN EN 61109 (VDE 0441-100) with a rated voltage of Un ≥ 110 kV. This document specifies types, characteristic values and minimum design requirements. The types specified here serve to standardise and make interchangeable the long rod insulators commonly used in Germany in the electrical power transmission and distribution network.
