DIN EN IEC 60966-4-1
Radio frequency and coaxial cable assemblies - Part 4-1: Blank detail specification for semi-rigid coaxial cable assemblies (IEC 60966-4-1:2024); German version EN IEC 60966-4-1:2024
Konfektionierte Koaxial- und Hochfrequenzkabel - Teil 4-1: Vordruck für Bauartspezifikation für halbstarre konfektionierte Koaxialkabel (IEC 60966-4-1:2024); Deutsche Fassung EN IEC 60966-4-1:2024
Overview
This part of IEC 60966 is a blank detail specification that relates to semi-rigid coaxial cable assemblies operating in the transverse electromagnetic mode (TEM). The creation of a uniform layout and style of detail specifications is determined by the use of a blank detail specification pro forma. The detail specification may be prepared by a national organization, a manufacturer, or a user (when prepared by a user, the detail specification shall be submitted to the national authorized institution by an approved manufacturer). The detail specification specifies electrical, mechanical, and environmental test values, rated values, or characteristics. For this purpose, the reference to the relevant IEC standard is given, as well as the values for the corresponding parameter. There are no restrictions on the scope of application of this document. The standard differs from DIN EN 60966-4-1:2004-06 as follows: a) Clause 1, "Scope", has been added; b) Clause 2, "Normative references", has been added; c) Clause 4, "Instructions", has been rewritten; d) "[6] External dimensions for semi-rigid assembled cables", "[7] The relative positional dimensions of the interface", " [8] Maximum diameter of a semi-rigid cable" has been added; e) "Corona breakdown voltage" has been added; f) "[19] Value", "[20] Note" have been changed. The application of this document increases investment security for manufacturers and users, provides testing laboratories and manufacturers with defined test specifications, and ensures compatibility across manufacturers.
