Overview

This document is applicable to equipment to be developed or procured for, or to be furnished to the Bundeswehr. It is also applicable to the modernisation of equipment already introduced. The document specifies the test method and the test parameters which can be used for all systems to simulate the high-energy portion of a lightning current associated with a direct lightning strike. The test conducted according to this method covers the maximum value of the lightning current, the charge of lightning impulse current, the charge of lightning long stroke current, and the specific lightning energy.
