Overview

This DIN SPEC has been prepared by a DIN SPEC consortium (temporary committee) in the course of the PAS procedure. The preparation and adoption of this DIN SPEC have been carried out by the authors named in the foreword. This document defines requirements for communication between a device for securing heavy-duty semi-trailers against theft and a central server. This document specifies the protocol, data formats, type of information to be transmitted, and the authentication process between the user, the anti-theft device, and the management platform. This document is to be used for the development of anti-theft devices that are to be compatible with an open system.
