This document has been prepared at DIN Standards Committee Shipbuilding and Marine Technology (NSMT), Working Committee NA 132-01-05 AA "Heben, Schleppen, Ankern" ("Heaving, towing, anchoring") in collaboration with the DIN Standards Committee Round Steel Link Chains (NRK), Working Committee NA 085-00-05 AA "Rundstahlketten, Einzelteile und Zubehör für die Schifffahrt" ("Round steel link chains, components and accessories for marine purposes"). This document is applicable to end links of non-magnetizable (NM) austenitic steel which are used on board of both surface watercraft as well as submarines of the Deutsche Marine (German Navy). They are components of chain outboard shots of non-magnetizable austenitic steel as specified in VG 84522.
