Overview

This document specifies requirements and guidelines for systems and equipment used to evacuate plume generated by medical devices. This document has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 121 "Anaesthetic and respiratory equipment", Subcommittee SC 6, "Medical gas systems" in collaboration with the European Committee for Standardization (CEN), Technical Committee CEN/TC 215 "Respiratory and anaesthetic equipment" in accordance with the Agreement on technical cooperation between ISO and CEN (Vienna Agreement). The responsible national standardization committee is Working Committee NA 176-05-04 AA "Zentrale Gasversorgungsanlagen" ("Central gas supply systems") at DIN Standards Committee Health Technologies (NAGesuTech).
