Overview

This guide is a document based on current business practices, legal regulations, research findings, and municipal requirements/needs (specifications, key figures). It is intended to serve as a guide primarily for commercial users in the professional establishment and optimization of their reuse companies. It is aimed in particular at companies and institutions as well as public waste disposal authorities. The guide covers the following product groups, among others: electrical appliances (brown goods, white goods, ITC technology, small household appliances, etcetera); furniture; textiles; "household goods, " books, sound carriers; toys and sports equipment (including bicycles). The responsible national standardization committee is Working Group KU-AK 7 "Resource conservation and environmentally compatible product and process design" at DIN Environmental Protection Helpdesk (DIN EPH).
