Overview

This document specifies methods of determining the fogging characteristics of trim materials used in the passenger compartment of automobiles. This document can be used to determine the fogging characteristics of raw materials in fluid, paste, powdered and solid form which constitute the trim materials or from which these materials are manufactured. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 054-04-04 AA "Kunststoff-Folien und kunststoffbeschichtete Flächengebilde (Kunstleder); allgemeine Eigenschaften" ("Plastic films and plastics-coated fabrics (artificial leather); general characteristics") at DIN Standards Committee Plastics (FNK).
