Overview
This document (EN ISO 14083:2023) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 207 "Environmental management" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 320 "Transport - Logistics and services", the secretariat of which is held by NEN (Netherlands). The responsible national standardization committee is Working Group NA 172-00-19-04 AK "Treibhausgasemissionen von Transportoperationen (Güter und Personen)" ("Greenhouse gas emissions of transport operations (goods and persons)" at DIN Standards Committee Principles of Environmental Protection (NAGUS). This document establishes a common methodology for the quantification and reporting of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions arising from the operation of transport chains of passengers and freight.
