Overview
EN 1993-1-8 contains rules for the design, calculation, and dimensioning of joints subject to predominantly static loading using all steel grades from S235 up to and including S700. The assumptions of EN 1990 and EN 1993-1-1 apply to this document. The design rules specified in this standard apply on the assumption that the quality of the construction corresponds to the quality specified in EN 1090-2 and EN 1090-4 and that the construction materials and products correspond to those specified in the relevant parts of EN 1993 or in the relevant material and product specifications.
