Overview

This document is applicable to sulphamic acid used as antifoulant for membranes in the treatment of water intended for human consumption. It describes the characteristics and specifies the requirements and the corresponding analytical methods for sulphamic acid. It gives information on their use as antifoulant for membranes in water treatment in Annex A. This document has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 164/WG 9 "Drinking water treatment", the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR (France). The responsible national standardization committee is DIN-DVGW Joint Working Committee NA 119-07-13 AA "Aufbereitungsstoffe und -anlagen" ("Chemicals and plants for water treatment") at DIN Standards Committee Water Practice (NAW).
