Overview

This document specifies requirements for the metrological verification of compliance with the clearance criteria in accordance with Part 2 Chapter 3 of the German Radiation Protection Ordinance (StrlSchV). This document shall also be applied when moving objects are evacuated in accordance with Section 58 Paragraph 2 of the German Radiation Protection Ordinance (StrlSchV). In the following text, specifications for clearance also apply to evacuation. This document describes the determination of activities within the scope of measurements that are used for comparison with the clearance levels. If an accounting of the total activity or a determination of the total released activity is carried out, other methods of activity determination may be more suitable. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 062-07-46 AA "Reststofffragen" ("Questions concerning residues") at DIN Standards Committee Materials Testing (NMP).
