Lubricants - Test methods - Part 2: Determination of the kinematic viscosity of used lubricating oils by Stabinger viscometer

Title (German)

Schmierstoffe - Prüfverfahren - Teil 2: Bestimmung der kinematischen Viskosität von gebrauchten Schmierölen mittels Stabinger-Viskosimeter

Overview

This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 062-06-63 AA "Gebrauchtöluntersuchung" ("Analysis of used oils") at Technical Committee "Mineralöl- und Brennstoffnormung (FAM)" ("Standardization of mineral oils and combustible materials") at DIN Standards Committee Materials Testing (NMP). This document specifies a method for determining the kinematic viscosity of used and fresh lubricating oils at 40 °C (viscosity range from approx. 4 mm2/s to approx. 1 000 mm2/s) and at 100 °C (viscosity range from approx. 2 mm2/s to approx. 100 mm2/s) by Stabinger viscometer.
