Title (German)

Runde Hand- und Maschinen-Schneideisen für kegeliges Rohrgewinde - Reihe R (ISO 4230:2016); Deutsche Fassung EN ISO 4230:2016

Overview

This standard is a supplement to ISO 2568 and ISO 4231 and specifies the dimensions of hand- and machine-operated circular screwing dies intended for production of taper pipe threads, R series, in accordance with ISO 7-1. With the exception of the die 1/16, the general dimensions of these dies (diameter, thickness and fixing dimensions) are in accordance with ISO 2568 so as to permit the driving of hand-operated dies with the aid of the die stocks defined in that document. This standard has been prepared in collaboration with German experts from Technical Committee ISO/TC 29 "Small tools"/SC 9 "Tools with cutting edges, cutting items" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/SS 109 "Tools", the secretariat of which is held by CCMC. This German language version has been prepared by Working Committee NA 121-01-04 AA "Gewindebohrer und Schneideisen" ("Taps and dies") at DIN Standards Committee Tools and Clamping Devices (FWS).
