DIN 6855-4
Constancy testing of nuclear medicine instruments - Part 4: Positron emission tomographs (PET)

Title (German)

Konstanzprüfung nuklearmedizinischer Messsysteme - Teil 4: Positronen-Emissions-Tomographen (PET)

Overview

This standard applies to positron emission tomography with stationary or movable radiation detectors arranged in a ring. Its purpose is to specify the procedures necessary for constancy testing within quality testing. This standard does not apply to SPECT systems operated in coincidence mode. Methods for acceptance testing are described in DIN EN 61675-1. The parameters required for the correct assignment of the CT and PET data set in hybrid systems (PET/CT) are described in DIN 6858-1. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 080-00-03 AA "Nuklearmedizin" ("Nuclear medicine") of the Radiology Standards Committee (NAR) in cooperation with Deutsche Röntgengesellschaft (German Radiological Society) and in collaboration with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Medizinische Physik (German Society for Medical Physics), Deutsche Gesellschaft für Nuklearmedizin (German Society of Nuclear Medicine) and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Radioonkologie (German Society for Radio Oncology).
