Overview

This part of the EN 12574 series of standards specifies dimensions and requirements of stationary waste containers (in the text also called containers) without wheels or with wheels for positioning purposes only, with flat or dome lid(s) and capacities up to 10 000 l for trunnion, double trunnion or pocket lifting devices. This document (EN 12574-1:2017) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 183 "Waste management", the secretariat of which is held by DIN. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 051-02-01 AA "Abfallentsorgung; Umleerbehälter bis 5 m3 und Abfallsammelschränke (Spiegelgremium für CEN/TC 183/WG 1)" ("Waste management; Containers up to 5 m3 and container shells (mirror committee for CEN/TC 183/WG 1))" at DIN Standards Committee Municipal Services (NKT).
