DIN 86009
Exhaust gas lines on ships - Steel tubes

Title (German)

Abgasleitungen auf Schiffen - Stahlrohre

Overview

DIN 86009 applies to pipes for exhaust gas lines of combustion engines and steam boilers on ships. Pipes matching the respective nominal diameters are defined in three series. Since pipes up to DN 150 are specified in Series 1 and pipes from DN 200 are specified in Series 3, this results in two wall thickness series. Series 3 (DN 32 to DN 150) and Series 2 (DN 32 to DN 1600) are a selection of the pipes described in the DIN EN 10220 standard. Series 3 (DN 200 to DN 3000) contains information on outside diameter, wall thickness and material for pipes to be manufactured from sheet metal according to drawings. The responsible committee for this standard is NA 132-02-05 AA "Rohre und Rohrverbindungen" ("Piping systems and connections") at DIN.
