Overview
This Supplement contains the decisions and interpretations exclusively for the general part DIN EN 60335-1 (VDE 0700 1) of the DIN EN 60335 (VDE 0700) series of standards. The decisions and interpretations originate from the meetings of CLC/TC 61 and OSM/HA (Operational Staff Meeting Household Appliances, expert committee of European testing bodies for household appliances). As with the standard, in addition to this supplement for Part 1, the supplement for the relevant Part 2 shall also be taken into consideration. A compilation of all decisions on the general part DIN EN 60335-1 (VDE 700-1) and all other Parts 2 has been published as DIN CLC/TR 50417 (VDE 0700-700):2015-10. The responsible committee is DKE/K 511 "Sicherheit elektrischer Hausgeräte" ("Safety of electric appliances for household purposes") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
