DIN 1185-3
Drainage - Control of sub-surface water management by draining with pipes and amelioration of the subsoil - Part 3: Construction and documentation

Title (German)

Dränung - Regelung des Bodenwasser-Haushaltes durch Rohrdränung und Unterbodenmelioration - Teil 3: Ausführung und Dokumentation

Overview

This standard establishes the principles necessary for the construction of a drainage system. This standard applies to the control of sub-surface water management of agriculturally used areas by drainage with the exception of areas covered with woody plants. The DIN working committee "Irrigation and Drainage" has set itself the goal of modernizing and streamlining the series of standards, incorporating the latest findings, dispensing with the details that are now established in other standards (for example, pedological data) and replacing the textbook-like form of the standard as far as possible with a practical design. In addition to professional planning, proper execution is a prerequisite for the sustainable effectiveness of a drainage system. DIN 1185-3 "Construction and documentation" is worded in such a way that it may serve as a basis for awarding contracts in connection with the new version of DIN 18508.
