Title (German)

Dünne Schichten für die Optik - Teil 4: Mindestanforderungen an Schichten für Laseranwendungen; Text Deutsch und Englisch

Overview

Standard DIN 58197-4 is part of a series of standards which specifies minimum requirements for optical coatings. This standard applies to optical coating systems which are used in laser optics. The purpose of this standard is to specify minimum requirements for the optical functions and especially for the laser power handling capability as well as for the resistance against mechanical, chemical, and environmental stress of these coating systems. Thereby the user is enabled to use defined numerical data while the manufacturer of thin films has the choice for the materials and production method. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 027-01-03 AA "Dünne Schichten für die Optik" ("Optical coatings") at DIN.
