Overview

This document has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 239 "Rescue systems" with the participation of German experts of Working Committee NA 053-01-02 "Krankenkraftwagen und deren medizinische und technische Ausstattung" ("Road ambulances and their medical and technical equipment") of DIN Standards Committee Rescue Services and Hospital (NARK). This standard differs from DIN EN 1865-1:2010-12 as follows: a) normative references have been updated; b) the relationship between this European Standard and the essential requirements of EU Directive 93/42/EEC has been updated. This European Standard incorporates specifications for: - main stretcher - undercarriage; - chair stretcher; - transfer mattress; - carrying sheet; - pickup stretcher; - vacuum mattress and pump; - long spinal board; - foldable carrying chair; - non-foldable carrying chair.
