Overview

Standard DIN EN 14399-1 is the German version of EN 14399-1. This standard specifies the general requirements for bolt/nut/washer(s) assemblies for high-strength structural bolting, which are suitable for preloading. This document has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commission and the European Free Trade Association, and supports basic work requirements of Regulation (EU) No. 305/2011. Standard series EN 14399 is directed at manufacturers and users of high-strength structural bolting assemblies. It contains in particular the essential characteristic and testing and assessment methods to be applied. This standard is a revision of the standard from 2006. This European Standard has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 185 "Fasteners" the secretariat of which is held by DIN (Germany). The responsible German Committee is Working Committee NA 067-00-07 AA "Verbindungselemente für den Metallbau" ("Structural bolting") at the DIN Standards Committee Fasteners (FMV).
